We are officially three days from Thanksgiving—a.k.a. eat as much food as you want day yay! I have been exercising and watching what I eat for the last couple of weeks to try and lose a few pounds before that day. Well, I lost half a pound; woo hoo, go me (insert sarcasm), and then the first Thanksgiving dinner with my mom’s side of the family came around. Lucky me, I got to bring two pecan pies home and, I’ve been eating on them since I brought them home.
It’s funny because I work out, take a shower, and then sit down with usually two pieces of pie like I’m rewarding myself for all the work I just did. Ha! I think at this point, I’m just exercising to be able to eat the pie without having the guilt and the fat on me. What’s that saying? You only live once? Yeah, that’s my motto for the rest of this week—possibly the year.

2020 has been a rough year for everyone and, I think we all deserve to eat as much pie and mashed potatoes as we want! Also, if you would like to put your Christmas decorations and tree up, then by George, go for it. I put all of ours out yesterday except for the real tree we pick out after Thanksgiving. It has brightened my mood already, and I don’t know about y’all, but I could use a little extra mood-brightening this year.

The other thing I’m super excited about this week is BLACK FRIDAY! I must go Black Friday shopping even if I only walk around the store and people watch. I love the thrill and excitement on everyone’s face as they run around the stores looking for the next sale item. I know that COVID has put a damper on this as well, so I’m not sure how Black Friday will go this year, but I don’t care. I’ll be right there with the crazies, with my coffee in hand. I need to feel some normalcy this year, and I feel like shopping after Thanksgiving will give me a tiny feel of it.
Well, if I don’t blog again before Thanksgiving, I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving and remember the reason we celebrate. We have SO much to be thankful for this year. I have a lot to be thankful for, including all of you and the support you have given me over the last couple of months. Thank you all so much!
Much love,
Chelsea
