Is anyone else struggling with COVID weight loss like I am? I was doing so well at the beginning of the year before the pandemic started. I was working out more, I was watching what I was eating, life was grand, and my jeans fit. Fast forward six months, now I am about ten pounds heavier, no motivation, and my leggings are creating muffin tops, not good. Luckily, Winter is upon us, and I’ll be able to hide the muffin tops with hoodies and sweatshirts (thank you, Jesus).
I know I’m not the only person struggling with this because I’ve heard others complaining about the same situation. It’s like COVID brought laziness and lack of motivation along with the sickness into America. I am trying to get back on the weight-loss train, but it keeps speeding past me while I shove another cookie in my mouth.
If you are one of the luckier people who have maintained your weight and your motivation throughout this pandemic, please give us slackers tips on what to do to get back on track. I have started cutting sweets out of my diet as well as watching my carb content, and I’m starting to feel a tiny bit better than I was, so hopefully, this is a start to getting out of the COVID trance I’m in.
However, I do see some hurdles in the future because the lovely holidays are coming up, and it’s hard to turn down the candy, the turkey and stuffing, and pumpkin pie. Oh my. Maybe I should go ahead and give up for 2020—there’s always 2021, right?
Much love,
Chelsea
